Commissioned portraits
I recently completed two commission portraits for a valued collector. The paintings were intended to capture special experiences shared between two granddaughters and their grandmother. One painting depicts the grandmother in her hockey jersey. Cheering for their team was an activity enjoyed by the youngest granddaughter. The other painting shows the grandmother in her favourite gardening hat. A love of gardening was something that the oldest granddaughter and grandmother shared. The grandmother was well-loved. I looked to capture her spark, her joy of family.
