Sooke Fine Arts Show 2022

‘Blue Shawl’ and ‘Party Hats 7’ were accepted into the Sooke Fine Arts 2022 Juried Show. The 11-day show is Vancouver Island’s longest-running juried fine art show. More than 350 works of original island art are on display in a stunning, 16,000-square-foot gallery.

The show runs July 22 - August 1st 2022. If you can squeak in a visit, you will be rewarded. The Sooke Fine Arts Society organizes this annual show and boy, are they a well-oiled machine. I am always impressed by the care and respect with which they treat the artwork. They literally give the delivered work the white glove treatment.

The venue is large and spacious. The work is professionally hung and lit. There are artist talks, demonstrations, docent tours, live music, a youth art gallery and a gallery gift shop. Below are a few pics from Artist Night.
