Keep Calm and Press On
Physical distancing is not a big stretch for many artists. We live a solitary work life in our studios (and in our heads). Still, it is unnerving to have to stay away from those who inspire us. I am shaking things up a little while in COVID-19 exile and have migrated from my painting studio to my printmaking studio. Printmaking procedures are numerous (prepping plates, inking, wiping, rubbing, printing etc.) and repetitive. I find this way of working calming. And, as all printmakers have experienced, the time just slips by…
